Les experts estiment le march\u00e9 total des capteurs quantiques \u00e0 environ 1,1 milliard d&#8217;euros d&#8217;ici 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Rappelons que les technologies quantiques exploitent les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de la mati\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle de l\u2019infiniment petit (atome, ion, photon, \u00e9lectron\u2026) et devraient permettre \u00e0 terme de construire des ordinateurs aux capacit\u00e9s de calcul d\u00e9passant de loin celles des plus puissants supercalculateurs actuels. Elles promettent aussi de nombreuses utilisations industrielles, comme des capteurs beaucoup plus sensibles qu\u2019aujourd\u2019hui ou des moyens de communications inviolables.<\/p>\n<p>Fortement attendu par la communaut\u00e9 scientifique fran\u00e7aise, ce plan ambitieux devra organiser les forces industrielles et de recherche du pays pour faire de la France un acteur majeur des technologies quantiques. L\u2019Hexagone poss\u00e8de des comp\u00e9tences reconnues dans le domaine des technologies quantiques et entend bien conserver un r\u00f4le majeur dans la comp\u00e9tition internationale. Citons ainsi les prix Nobel de physique Albert Fert et Serge Haroche qui d\u00e9velopp\u00e8rent la spintronique et l\u2019\u00e9lectrodynamique quantique en cavit\u00e9, le laur\u00e9at de la m\u00e9daille d\u2019or du CNRS Alain Aspect et ses travaux pionniers sur l\u2019intrication quantique, les simulateurs quantiques d\u2019Atos\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Le Plan Quantique pr\u00e9voit des actions en faveur de la recherche (en particulier pour les ordinateurs, capteurs et communications quantiques), l\u2019industrie et la formation, financ\u00e9es par le PIA et le plan &#8220;France relance&#8221;, \u00e0 hauteur de 1,8 milliard d\u2019euros. Pour r\u00e9ussir, l&#8217;\u00c9tat s\u2019entoure des trois grands op\u00e9rateurs de recherche fran\u00e7ais \u2013 le CNRS, le CEA et Inria \u2013 pour d\u00e9finir sa strat\u00e9gie. Le plan doit en outre, assurer la souverainet\u00e9 nationale face notamment aux \u00c9tats-Unis et \u00e0 la Chine qui investissent massivement, mais aussi face aux g\u00e9ants du num\u00e9rique (comme Google ou IBM) dont les efforts de recherche se multiplient avec des budgets cons\u00e9quents. La comp\u00e9tition se forme \u00e9galement au sein m\u00eame de l\u2019Europe \u2013 en particulier le Royaume-Uni et l\u2019Allemagne d\u00e9veloppent des strat\u00e9gies propres \u2013 malgr\u00e9 un Flagship Quantique commun d\u2019un milliard d\u2019euros sur 10 ans lanc\u00e9 en 2018 et qui a d\u00e9j\u00e0 soutenu 19 projets dont dix avec une participation du CNRS sur les quatre piliers que sont les communications, le calcul, la simulation et les capteurs quantiques.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le d\u00e9tail, le plan fran\u00e7ais pr\u00e9voit de consacrer une enveloppe de pr\u00e8s de 800 millions d\u2019euros aux ordinateurs, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse des premi\u00e8res machines (simulateurs et machines partiellement quantiques, 350 millions d\u2019euros) ou de celles qui appara\u00eetront \u00e0 plus long terme (ordinateurs quantiques \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re, 430 millions d\u2019euros). Les autres enveloppes seront consacr\u00e9es aux capteurs (250 millions d\u2019euros), \u00e0 la cryptographie post-quantique (150 millions d\u2019euros), aux communications quantiques (320 millions d\u2019euros) et aux technologies annexes qui permettent de construire les \u00e9quipements quantiques (cryog\u00e9nie par exemple, 300 millions d\u2019euros).<\/p>\n<p>Les premiers capteurs quantiques industriels devraient d\u2019ailleurs, voir le jour d\u00e8s cette ann\u00e9e.
