Les solutions photoniques font leurs preuves dans de nombreux domaines industriels apportant des gains de qualit\u00e9, de productivit\u00e9 et de co\u00fbts tr\u00e8s importants.<\/p>\n<p>En effet, les composants et instruments photoniques (lasers, sources LED, capteurs, fibres et microcircuits optiques, cam\u00e9ras et d\u00e9tecteurs, t\u00e9lescopes, \u00e9crans plats, afficheurs, cellules photovolta\u00efques \u2026) sont au c\u0153ur des syst\u00e8mes de surveillance et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, des \u00e9quipements biologiques et m\u00e9dicaux, des infrastructures t\u00e9l\u00e9com et internet, des instruments de mesure pour l\u2019environnement, des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s industriels, des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019aide \u00e0 la conduite ou de conversion d\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire\u2026 Preuve de son importance, la Commission europ\u00e9enne a identifi\u00e9 la photonique comme l\u2019une des six technologies g\u00e9n\u00e9riques d\u2019avenir. R\u00e9sultat : cette derni\u00e8re vient de lancer dans le cadre des appels \u00e0 projets europ\u00e9ens Digital Innovation Hubs,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.photonhub.eu\/#test\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">le projet PhotonHub Europe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Unique projet s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 dans la cat\u00e9gorie &#8220;Photonics Innovation Hubs&#8221;, il propose le soutien de 54 centres de comp\u00e9tences de premier plan en Europe. A partir de janvier 2021, pour une dur\u00e9e de 52 mois et avec une vocation \u00e0 devenir p\u00e9renne, PhotonHub Europe sera un guichet unique \u00e0 acc\u00e8s ouvert partout en Europe. Son objectif est d\u2019aider toutes les entreprises, en particulier les PME et les entreprises de taille moyenne &#8220;non photoniques&#8221;, souhaitant innover dans le domaine de la photonique ou souhaitant int\u00e9grer de la photonique en valeur ajout\u00e9e \u00e0 son produit innovant. Couvrant toute la cha\u00eene de valeur de l&#8217;innovation (formation, recherche et d\u00e9veloppement technologique et accompagnement business) et financ\u00e9 \u00e0 hauteur de 19 millions d\u2019euros, il regroupe les meilleures technologies, installations, comp\u00e9tences et savoir-faire de ces 54 centres de comp\u00e9tences de premier plan en Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Organis\u00e9 autour de 8 fili\u00e8res photoniques de prototypage, en r\u00e9seautage direct avec des lignes pilotes de production, des clusters industriels, des investisseurs et des acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateurs \u00e9conomiques de l\u2019innovation, le PhotonHub Europe accro\u00eetra la transformation num\u00e9rique et la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 industrielle europ\u00e9enne, avec une capacit\u00e9 de cr\u00e9er directement plus de 1 000 nouveaux emplois de haute technologie dans l&#8217;Union Europ\u00e9enne et pr\u00e8s d&#8217;un milliard d&#8217;euros de nouveaux revenus et de capital-risque d&#8217;ici \u00e0 2025. Le nouveau hub paneurop\u00e9en d&#8217;innovation photonique est coordonn\u00e9 par l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 Vrije de Bruxelles. C\u00f4t\u00e9 fran\u00e7ais, le CNRS est l&#8217;unique partenaire acad\u00e9mique qui regroupe douze unit\u00e9s de recherche (et leurs 28 plateformes dont 9 centrales de micro et nano-fabrication de RENATECH et RENATECH+ et 8 Equipex) et plus de 70 personnes impliqu\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>R\u00e9put\u00e9 pour ses recherches et ses r\u00e9alisations dans les domaines de l\u2019optique, l\u2019acoustique, les micro et nanosciences ainsi que les syst\u00e8mes, le temps-fr\u00e9quence, l\u2019automatique, l\u2019informatique, la m\u00e9catronique, la m\u00e9canique et les mat\u00e9riaux, l\u2019\u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et le g\u00e9nie \u00e9lectrique, l\u2019institut FEMTO-ST (Besan\u00e7on \u2013 France) est le coordinateur scientifique et technique national de ce projet. Une quinzaine de personnes participent \u00e0 ce projet chez FEMTO-ST, dont Herv\u00e9 Maillotte qui est le coordinateur de PhotonHub Europe au niveau national et Nad\u00e8ge Courjal, responsable de la fili\u00e8re MOEMS, qui fait partie du comit\u00e9 technique d&#8217;\u00e9valuation des projets d&#8217;innovation (photo). L\u2019Institut fran\u00e7ais est soutenu par la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation Centre-Est du CNRS pour le pilotage administratif (7 d\u00e9l\u00e9gations r\u00e9gionales concern\u00e9es) et en lien avec des clusters industriels sous l\u2019\u00e9gide de Photonics France. Les autres unit\u00e9s de recherche fran\u00e7aises concern\u00e9es par ce projet photonique d\u2019envergure sont le laboratoire Hubert Curien (St Etienne), l&#8217;institut Fresnel (Marseille), le laboratoire Charles Fabry (Palaiseau), le laboratoire CRISMAT (Caen), le laboratoire L2n (Troyes), le laboratoire LP3 (Marseille), le laboratoire d&#8217;astrophysique de Marseille, le laboratoire PhLAM (Lille), l&#8217;IEMN (Lille), le LAAS (Toulouse) et le C2N (Palaiseau).<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;La photonique est essentielle au fonctionnement de nouvelles applications qui alimentent la nouvelle vague industrielle &#8211; l&#8217;Industrie 4.0 &#8211; et qui sont \u00e9galement essentielles \u00e0 notre capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre fondamentalement aux \u00e9normes d\u00e9fis soci\u00e9taux et environnementaux mondiaux de notre \u00e9poque&#8221;<\/i>, conclut Hugo Thienpont, le coordinateur du PhotonHub Europe.\u00a0<i>&#8220;L&#8217;industrie europ\u00e9enne doit \u00eatre \u00e0 la pointe de l&#8217;innovation dans le domaine de la photonique, en tirant le meilleur parti de nos atouts combin\u00e9s dans toutes les parties de la cha\u00eene de valeur de l&#8217;innovation et en travaillant en collaboration dans tous les \u00c9tats membres, pour soutenir l&#8217;innovation et la croissance des entreprises europ\u00e9ennes.
