Il utilise des impulsions optiques de haute puissance qui durent quelques nanosecondes. Objectif\u00a0: acqu\u00e9rir des informations de profondeur (g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement sur de courtes distances). Analog Devices (ADI) propose des syst\u00e8mes et cam\u00e9ras ToF qui am\u00e9liorent le calcul et le traitement de la profondeur. Ces derniers comportent des pilotes laser et la gestion de l&#8217;alimentation, ainsi que des outils de d\u00e9veloppement et des logiciels ou micrologiciels pour faciliter la mise en \u0153uvre rapide de ces applications. L&#8217;ADI s&#8217;appuie sur un r\u00e9seau mondial de partenaires pour d\u00e9velopper des modules ToF, des cam\u00e9ras et des services de conception, ce qui permet un retour sur investissement rapide. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 utilise par exemple, la technologie Azure Kinect de Microsoft pour fournir des solutions ToF qui assurent la plus grande pr\u00e9cision de profondeur possible, fonctionnent sur des distances plus \u00e9loign\u00e9es et de mani\u00e8re fiable, avec une consommation d&#8217;\u00e9nergie minimale. Les syst\u00e8mes ToF haute r\u00e9solution sont indispensables dans de nombreuses applications industrielles, pour permettre par exemple, aux machines autonomes et \u00e0 la robotique de percevoir leur environnement et de planifier leurs trajectoires.
