Ce syst\u00e8me permet aussi d&#8217;am\u00e9liorer en continu les processus d&#8217;ing\u00e9nierie virtuelle en validant la microstructure du composite avec des contr\u00f4les tomographiques (CT) de pi\u00e8ces fabriqu\u00e9es. La fabrication additive de composites permet d&#8217;automatiser la r\u00e9alisation de composants plus robustes et plus l\u00e9gers que ceux en m\u00e9tal, et d&#8217;utiliser un traitement sp\u00e9cial (par exemple, un polym\u00e8re continu renforc\u00e9 de fibre) pour le substrat. Avec le logiciel Digimat, les entreprises peuvent simuler le processus d&#8217;impression 3D et calculer le co\u00fbt total de production de chaque pi\u00e8ce, y compris l&#8217;utilisation de la mati\u00e8re, la main-d&#8217;\u0153uvre, l&#8217;\u00e9nergie et les \u00e9tapes de post-traitement n\u00e9cessaires. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cet outil, un ing\u00e9nieur peut avoir une vue globale des processus de production de pi\u00e8ce et de finition, pour d\u00e9terminer la meilleure cha\u00eene de processus. Il peut aussi \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour optimiser des traitements par lot, afin de permettre d&#8217;imprimer le plus de pi\u00e8ces possibles en parall\u00e8le, en augmentant la capacit\u00e9 de production et en r\u00e9duisant le d\u00e9lai de commercialisation. Cet outil peut aussi intervenir dans la planification de la production pour tenir compte du co\u00fbt de revient total des machines et pour amortir ces frais sur les volumes de fabrication projet\u00e9s. L&#8217;utilisateur visualise cette information \u00e0 travers des trac\u00e9s et des diagrammes circulaires.
