Cette recherche biom\u00e9dicale a potentiellement des implications pour d&#8217;autres applications \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9chelle microscopique et micro fluidique.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Par<\/em> <em>St\u00e9phanie Hendrixson, Executive Editor, Additive Manufacturing <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Observer le processus, c&#8217;est presque assister \u00e0 quelque chose de magique, et en fait, les images ressemblent plus \u00e0 un documentaire sur la nature qu&#8217;\u00e0 un film tourn\u00e9 dans une imprimante 3D. Une structure arborescente s&#8217;\u00e9l\u00e8ve dans le cadre, chaque branche transparente s&#8217;\u00e9tirant \u00e0 partir de celles qui la pr\u00e9c\u00e8dent dans une danse \u00e9l\u00e9gante. En quelques secondes, un r\u00e9seau de minuscules branches est termin\u00e9, enti\u00e8rement imprim\u00e9 en 3D \u00e0 partir de glace.<\/p>\n<p>Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 d&#8217;impression 3D de la glace reproductible et \u00e0 grande vitesse est le r\u00e9sultat de recherches en cours \u00e0 l&#8217;universit\u00e9 Carnegie Mellon. Les professeurs Burak Ozdoganlar et Philip LeDuc, ainsi que le doctorant Akash Garg, ont explor\u00e9 une m\u00e9thode permettant de recr\u00e9er la vascularisation &#8211; les vaisseaux sanguins qui parcourent nos organes, notre peau et d&#8217;autres tissus &#8211; pour des applications biom\u00e9dicales, notamment des organes et des tissus artificiels.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong>La vascularisation a \u00e9t\u00e9 un probl\u00e8me cl\u00e9 dans les \u00e9chafaudages de tissus<\/strong>&#8220;, explique Ozdoganlar. &#8220;<em>Vous pouvez cr\u00e9er en laboratoire des grappes de cellules assez grandes, mais si elles ne sont pas vascularis\u00e9es, ces cellules finissent par mourir en peu de temps parce qu&#8217;elles ne re\u00e7oivent pas de nutriments et n&#8217;\u00e9liminent pas de mat\u00e9riaux. Cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 le Graal &#8211; \u00eatre capable de cr\u00e9er une vascularisation tridimensionnelle similaire \u00e0 ce que nous voyons dans le corps humain<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Une partie du probl\u00e8me r\u00e9side dans le fait que ces vaisseaux sanguins sont minuscules, de l&#8217;ordre de quelques dizaines de microns.
