Des chimistes du Laboratoire de cristallographie et sciences des mat\u00e9riaux (CRISMAT\/\u00a0CNRS\/Universit\u00e9 Caen Normandie\/Ensicaen) ont synth\u00e9tis\u00e9 un nouveau mat\u00e9riau sulfure d\u2019origine min\u00e9rale pr\u00e9sentant des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s thermo\u00e9lectriques remarquables. Ces travaux, men\u00e9s en collaboration avec l\u2019Institut des sciences chimiques de Rennes (ISCR\/CNRS\/Universit\u00e9 Rennes1\/ENSCR\/INSA Rennes), l\u2019institut N\u00e9el, l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Central Michigan (USA) et l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Kyushu (Japon), ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s dans les revues\u00a0Advanced Energy Materials\u00a0et\u00a0Angewandte Chemie.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de chaleur dissip\u00e9e au moyen de modules thermo\u00e9lectriques (effet Seebeck) repr\u00e9sente une\u00a0voie particuli\u00e8rement prometteuse de production d\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00ab\u00a0verte\u00a0\u00bb.
