Cette sonde peut mesurer des lasers CW jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 500&nbsp;W, ainsi que des lasers puls\u00e9s jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 2 kJ. Son design compact lui permet de se placer facilement entre les composants optiques pour le diagnostic d&#8217;un trajet optique. Le d\u00e9tecteur peut prendre en charge des faisceaux larges, non focalis\u00e9s de 35 mm de diam\u00e8tre, et des faisceaux ayant une forte densit\u00e9 pouvant descendre \u00e0 1 kW sur 1 mm. Elle dispose, comme toutes les sondes Ophir, d&#8217;une interface &#8220;Smart Connector&#8221;, la rendant compatible avec des dispositifs maison comme les afficheurs Centauri, StarBright, Vega, Nova II, et StarLite, les interfaces PC USB Juno et Juno+ et l&#8217;adaptateur Ethernet EA-1. Les utilisateurs peuvent choisir parmi toute une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de formats d&#8217;affichage, incluant digital avec bargraphes, courbes, suivi des pulses successifs et statistiques en temps r\u00e9el. Les afficheurs embarquent aussi une fonction de suivi avanc\u00e9 des donn\u00e9es de puissance et d&#8217;\u00e9nergie avec m\u00e9morisation, statistiques, histogrammes voire des fonctions math\u00e9matiques avanc\u00e9es.
