Source\u00a0: Femto-ST<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les chercheurs de Femto-ST ont mis au point une m\u00e9thode qui ouvre la voie \u00e0 la production \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle de capteurs atomiques. Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019instruments atomiques miniatures de haute sensibilit\u00e9 et de grande pr\u00e9cision tels que des horloges ou des magn\u00e9tom\u00e8tres conna\u00eet un r\u00e9el essor. Les horloges atomiques miniatures sont destin\u00e9es, par exemple, \u00e0 des \u00e9quipements de t\u00e9l\u00e9communication ou de navigation. Ces instruments reposent, en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, sur l&#8217;interrogation d&#8217;un ensemble d&#8217;atomes alcalins en phase vapeur au sein d\u2019une cellule de dimensions millim\u00e9triques, g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e par des techniques de micro-fabrication et compos\u00e9e de verre et de silicium. Une des difficult\u00e9s r\u00e9side dans le remplissage de ces cellules avec diverses esp\u00e8ces (m\u00e9taux alcalins et gaz tampon) tout en pr\u00e9servant la puret\u00e9 et la stabilit\u00e9 de leur atmosph\u00e8re interne au cours du temps. Les travaux de la nouvelle technique de remplissage de cellules propos\u00e9e par les chercheurs de l\u2019institut Femto-ST est inspir\u00e9e par celles utilis\u00e9es pour la r\u00e9alisation de cellules en verre centim\u00e9triques traditionnelles.
